Leslie J. Bonci , MPH,RD,CSSD, LDN, is a registered dietitian, board certified specialist in sports dietetics and the the sports nutrition consultant for the 2020 and 2023 Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.

We enjoyed Leslie’s informed but reasonable, practical, and doable strategies for using food as fuel for athletes, and leaving battles for the playing field and off the dining table.

We leave you with some Leslie-isms that are great advice for athletes of all ages and stages, and those who care for them. Just because you can buy it, it doesn’t mean you should try it. And, it really doesn’t have to be complicated.

You can also find more on Leslie’s website, https://activeeatingadvice.com/, and in her books - Sport Nutrition for Coaches and the American Dietetic Association Guide to Better Digestion, and her co-authored Run Your Butt Off, Walk Your Butt Off, the Active Calorie Diet and Bike Your Butt Off.
